MIKE-2U
^Like title says we will be putting an 18" DC lvl 4 with level 5 coils in my friends Ponitac Bonneville. What is the best desgin for a box with this application. I can get trunk specs if need be but i think its something in the area of 18 H, 35 D, & 40 W. could i also get a sketch up and cut out sheet please. Also would it be better to port it through the center console as the rear seats do NOT fold down ? thanks. FunkMcOwnage
just screw it to the rear deck and use the trunk as a sealed box. Joe X
Hope you can find a bit above 18" height to do sub to the front, you may try to port up but just leaving the rear deck "open" and do port/sub front may be enough. BeAlLsTaR13
I would try 1 of 2 things 1. Trunk "wall" if you have the height, use the opening of the trunk (when seats are folded down) for the front baffle, with the box being in the trunk. It'll be sealed off, I'd try an aero to save some room if you can. 2. Sub up, now I'm 90% of the time against sub up in a trunk, just cause it'll cause terrible rattling and a few other things, but with an 18 you are very limited on box designs.
