wennington99
have a 500 watt JL Audio Slash can i get nice slam from this sub off that amount of power? i believe JBL suggests 1.5 cubes sealed or 4 cubes ported, I could go either way , preferance would be sealed though, but ultimately, just want the most slam I can get

wennington99
probably not gonna like what u tell me, lol, but those chest thumping mid bass type frequencies, i'd say i don't much care too much about anything below 50 hz

basshead8569
I know different brand but I heard the mtx audio 15" then the 12" version and the 12 sounded better. Did the same with the rockford fosgate t1 subs and the 15" sounded better. So, guess it would be up to you. The box and the correct tuning and all play a big part in the "slam" you get. Tune it right and either one will slam. Probably not as hard as your wanting. But it will hit. n8ball2013
This isnt like the 90s anymore. Most 10s 12s and 15s are all built off the same motor structure now. hell even some of the 8s. They do not play any different really. A 15 may get a little deeper but they really all sound the same. I bet if you couldnt see them and heard them and had to judge it on ear you would be hard pressed to tell the difference in them.
