Miguels
600 is plenty but wont support higher rpm.. i had a 850 on my 454 and was getting up the rpm quick and was very aggressive.. switched to a 750 and it hurt my top end it hurt it bad always bogged on me and seemed like it needed more fuel at wot.. i know its a street build but you will get the bug to floor it at times. holley recommends a 650 670 cfm for that build my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

bkolfo4
I called Holley before I ordered. Was debating 600 or 650. They said 600. RPM will top at 6000-6200 Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. bkolfo4
The only thing we reused was the block, forged GM crank, and forged GM rods. The crank and rods had never been touched, so they were perfectly fine turned .010/.010. No pics of the bottom end. Don't know why I never took any. bkolfo4
Funny - as I think about it, the block, crank, rods, outer fenders, and the bumper are the only pieces that are not new on the car from the firewall forward.
