Wicks' E46 M3 Build. Hertz 3-Way Set from Tony D!

Had my third completion on Saturday.

Another dBDrag so it was sealed up, meter on the glass.

I learned some tricks from my previous competition and improved my previous score of 145.5.

This is during the semi-finals and my highest legal score to date, me on the left:

BUT, I went up against the same guy as last time and even though I improved, it wasn't enough to cover the difference, again me on the left:

So I got another second place in the Trunk category.

Also won a hoodie from a prize raffle which came in REAL nice since it was about 35 degrees out including the wind chill. BBRRRRR.

After the competing was done, for fun they rolled up the two loudest cars and went Outlaw to see what kind of scores they could put down.

The 61 came from the Astro van which has 4 18" custom subs.

The 57 came from the little Cavalier with 2 18" AQ's.

Impressive scores

So I had a chat with the guy that beat me and with the guy above with the Astro van that hit the 61.

They got me thinking about a change I could do that "should" greatly improve my score.

The change involves dBDragging where I'm burping at a single frequency and how it relates to my impedance curve.

Any guesses....?

Now I'm anxious to have a free weekend so that I can get into my garage and start experimenting.

Small update.

So since getting a 360.3, I want to go active.

That means my plans with my Punch200 will unfortunately have to change since I need at least a 4ch amp or even 6ch because I'd really like to implement my Hertz ES200's.

I was thinking about getting a Punch4080, but I don't have a proper spot for it on the other side of my trunk.

So I've been thinking about other options and have been digging around for another amp solution for my highs.

After enough hunting around I finally tracked down what I needed and made the purchase today.

If everything works out I'll have 6ch's of amplification that should make my highs much more "precise"...
