I'm looking to build a box like WCA Rusty's in a 2019 Silverado Crew Cab (4 DC M3 8's ported). However, I want to build a cover in front of the subs to protect them from feet. I'm thinking 1-2 layers of 18mm (3/4") MDF with a pressed metal grill in front of each woofer, but I need some information before I can move forward. Does anyone know what the distance is from the mounting surface on the box to the maximum capable excursion of the cone? Or at least the height from the mounting surface to the top of the surround while not powered? (I can figure out the rest of the distance using the Xmax) If the distance is too much I'll have to drop down to ordering 3 subs to reduce the depth of the box and I don't want to ruin the subs by having them hit a metal grill and cut up the surrounds, or worse.

I have 3 orion HCCA 152 woofers that im running on some off brand 3500 watt amps. I wanna go with one solid amp to run all 3 at a 1.33 ohm. this is a daily driver 2003 trailblazer but I want it to hump. the woofer are rated at 2500rms/5000peak, I currently have 5 d3100's in the back, 1 redtop in the front that I want to change out but need to find a battery that will fit due to the dual alt bracket that holds a 240 mechman and a 370 mechman. out of these 3 amps, which one would you recommend I run on those 3 woofers with my current setup. thanks for any assistance you can give me.

Hello, I need help with a building a box for my 2015 Chevy Malibu... I'm planning on running my two DC XL M2 12's on a SAZ3000. My max dimension are 21 high, 39 wide, 29 deep. I tried to come up with something on the Torres Calculator but I would like for someone to check over it and make sure, since I have never ran DC Audio before.

Hey guys and gals. I need to order a recone kit for my dc level 6 18 m4 I really liked the look of the carbon fiber cone and dust cap till I saw the price. Real shocker right. Any rate what do you all think of the carbon fiber cone for the extra $320.00 plus $40.00 for the carbon dust cap. I am sure it will be more stiff but is it worth the extra. Thanks in advance.

Hey Peeps, Just a quick question on a pair of LVL3 12"'s. Do you think a Crescendo BC2000D would be ok to match up with a pair of lvl3's? Crescendo claims 2250 RMS watts x1 @1 ohm. I did car audio some 18 years ago then got married and stopped. Here we are 18 years later divorced and ready to do another build. Things have changed a bit but I think with a little guidance this should be a good build. $4k budget and i'm looking at getting obviously 2 DC lvl3 12's, Crescendo mono amp(BC2000D) and 4 channel (C1100.4). I'll be running Crescendo mids and highs as well and a Pioneer (AVH-X5500BHS) HU. I'll also be using a Audio control Line Driver for voltage boost. Any advice ???

Hey SMD! awhile back i posted a thread about coil rub on one of my level 5s. i purchased a reconethrough Cj. but never reconed the sub. i just kept playing on it with the SD8k, then on the k12. i first started noticing this "clanking" sound a couple weeks back when i was demoing a couiple people at a local shop. before i left, i played a song, My shit bang- e-40, i totally forgot that there is a very low note in the song, i broke a dustcap on one sub, and blew off the other. the note was extremely low. after the most recent show i attened, i gave a couple demos, but by the time i was to be metered, the "clanking" noise became louder and output seemed to be less. now its really bad. recone time? heres a vid to help describe the noise. and heres some pic:
