WIcks I just read the whole log for probably the second time now lol

Everytime I need a good place to get ideas for trunk builds I head here or to scooters civic. Great minds think alike!

I love your approach to finding out whats wrong with electronics, Most people nowadays dont even know what an o scope is let alone how to use one.

x2 on that capacitor saying; every lcd monitor ive found in the garbage had a blown cap on the inverter board. .20 cent fix later and they work like new lmao!

Thanks Man, much appreciated!

Yep its really sad how cheaply things are produced today which forces companies to use inferior Chinese caps which are not at all reliable.

It angers me when I see people complaining on how American made products are too expensive.

Especially when those people have just bought their third cheap product in a row because the others are broken and actually spent more money and time in the long run... <_<

Hopefully soon I can get back into my trunk and get some more updates for you guys :good:

I'll show more detail about how I mod'd the console to fit the remote when I can get to to my computer, but here's a teaser for now.

LOOOOOOOVE how this is coming together.
PERFECT FIT :D

Ok, here's how the center console was mod'd.

I ran the remote cable, as I usual do, by routing the cable up through the dash, down the kick panel and along the bottom of the door back to the trunk.

Most cables are long enough for all that routing, but the Audison cable was a bit short and wouldn't leave me enough in the trunk,

So I had to route from the center console, under the drivers seat to under the door and then back.

Soooooo out with the drivers seat.

869-seat%20out_zpspl6ebzxt.jpg

Out with the center console and positioned the remote holder in place.

870-test%20fit_zps9dsvktln.jpg

Used a pencil to mark the area that needed to be cut and pulled out the dremel with a cutoff wheel.

871-lines%20marked_zpszl7tmqwc.jpg

The cutoff wheel was fine for the straight cuts but what to do about the rounded corners........

872-saw_zpsicne19th.jpg

Took a little careful effort but the cuts were completed.

873-saw%20done_zpsw27ib5he.jpg

Test fit.....BOOM. Not too bad. It is a tiny bit crooked here so there was some sanding to correct the angle.

874-test%20fit_zpsyrhd4tlr.jpg

Since the drivers seat is out.........lets test fit this thing. Wonder what that's for...? ;)

Put the console back in the car to take a look.

875-test%20fit2_zpsawvzxmwq.jpg

Then I quickly just connected the remote cable to the BitOne and powered it. To see the remote lit up.

Needs just a little more TLC but I'm liking how this is going.

The main unit still needs to be fab'd into the trunk yet but hopefully I can fire this up soon. :good:

For those that don't recall, this location on the center console was originally my Hazard and Door Unlock buttons.

You can see it here:

2-M3-interior.jpg

Then it was mod'd for the 360.3 remote:

And now the BitOne DRC MP:

Hazard and Door Unlock buttons are getting moved to another location in the center console. More on that later.

that left shoe has seen better days..... :) remote looks great

Haha...indeed it has. They're both blown out and about 9 years old.

Probably time for a new pair, huh. :o

Thanks :good:
