i thought you told me before that you thought you could get more from your ports. I hear you on the work hours on the enclosure though. But you may sing a different tune when you get as much out of her as you can. Then you'll know if you need a new one or not. Besides, when is it ever done!?

The ports and box might be maxed out though.

They're about as big as my design constraints would allow so it is what it is.

The subs really don't have a lot of play time on them so maybe they'll loosen up a bit and give me a lil more.

My iPhone App signal generator must not give me a true 0dB cuz when I use those test tones, they aren't anywhere near as loud as some songs.

Yeah it doesn't sound too bad although I'd like to get my highs functional as well to make a better comparison.

Good news, my trunk rattle is all but gone.

Bad news, there is a group of new rattles that I need to attend to now.....

The very bottom of my trunk (under the car) vibrates a bit as well as the cover on my middle 3rd brake light which the new port aims directly at.

Snow was forecast for today and sure enough, none is in sight.

Anyway I decided that I should toss on my snow tires (Blizzak's) this past weekend just in case.

An M3 with summer tires is NO good in the snow...

Since they're tucked so well, I tend to forget how fat these rear tires really are

Surprisingly, with snow tires, this M3 isn't that bad in the snow at all.

This was how you last saw the rear deck itself.

I wanted to seal it up as much as possible so I pulled out some extra Second Skin and sealed around the port edges:

Now the only way for air to get back into the trunk is the small opening for the actuator rod which I can't do too much about.

The trunk lid no longer vibrates but I do have a pretty good rattle underneath the car which sounds like the very bottom of the trunk floor or something in that area.

FINALLY...the subs are back in

Sorry for the crappy pictures, the sun was playing havoc with my camera and was giving me some intense glare everywhere.

Next up is finishing the final (hopefully) mount for my Punch200, some finishing panels for the trunk and to cover the fiberglass baffle trim panel in the above pics.

Still trying to contemplate how to cleanly wrap that thing...

That white would be killer with my car.

Any measurements on the motor width? Good chance that those won't fit in my box due my port(s) being very close to my XL motors as it is.

To take advantage of the higher efficiency, I'd have to use the 0.5 coils and therefore couldn't wire to 1ohm like I am now.

But yeah ultimately I could try out other equipment if I can't change my car or box any further.

I'm curious what my XL's will do in the future as they loosen up a bit and I try out some more music and tones.

I may find some dB's hiding here or there...

I don't know man, there are very few threads on here that I don't mind the reading in between the pics, and this is tops on that list. Reason is you explain a lot of shit and it all makes sense.
