Amart88
I've got a bunch of 2/0 tinned copper lugs, I will be doing a fair bit of crimping with my hydraulic crimper over the weekend, is there any sort on anti-corrsion/oxidation liquid that you are supposed to apply to the bare wire before crimping? Thought I heard something about it a long time ago but I cant remember. Thanks. Also, are the Tinned copper lugs safe to use on aluminum? Quote My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled. 01ExSport
I'm sure there's something out there you can buy, but I'm sure 99% of people just crimp and done, especially if you're lugs are tinned you should be fine. I'd heat shrink to protect the wire, and be done with it. Are you using CCA or OFC? I noticed you said on aluminum.

I might be using aluminum buss bar if I can't find copper, thats all. Quote My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

SmallTruk
Smear some dielectric grease over it then cover it with heat shrink.

Wicks
http://www.ebay.com/...=item3cc36a67b7 $15 for a little tube of dielectric grease with a fancy name? That's retarded Looks small don't it. I thought so when I got some but its actually quite large at 8oz. I was surprised. Probly a 10" tube. Plus its not dielectric grease, its conductive so it actually increases your conductivity plus fights corrosion. Would be a big plus for crimped connectors. ...still retarded? If water should make contact with a grease that is conductive.....well, I think you can figure the rest out. For antenna use like it states I can see it being acceptable, for large gauge wires and a lot of current is stick with regular dielectric. doeboy99
if your worried about corrosion just get the tinned copper wire that they use in marine wire setups... no chance of corrosion in there unlike all the tiny strands that OFC cable has.
