Today I felt productive and decided to do something about my power/ground distribution disaster.

I used a stick of Aluminum from Lowes 1" wide by .25" thick as well as a handful of Allen bolts and a spacer to allow the bolts to pass through the bar without hitting the box if needed.

Cut them to 8" long

Drilled and tapped with a 3/8th and 1/4th

threw them in the trunk and plugged up wires!

They are nor perfectly straight, Unfortunately I don't have a drill press on the patio.

buttoned back up!

Thanks!

It also adds flexibility for future amp combinations without having to mess with the wiring as much.

what the difference between copper and aluminum buss bars

One is made of copper, and one is made of aluminum

But actually:

Aluminum is cheaper

Copper is more conductive

At my level?

nothing.

At some point the conductivity becomes a factor where copper or various other metals can handle electrical load better than aluminum. But, for people like me I don't think it is much of an issue.

You WILL have more voltage drop across aluminum vs copper, called physics lol
