Junior Russell
alright so i got my sub fixed and bangin like a champ but she aint complete the last part is the dust cap the other night i took it and shot it with a couple coats of primer (didnt get a pic was too tired) and last night i put the template i cut out on the dust cap and shot it with black seen here: now i dont know what to do where to leave it as it is and put it on the sub or paint all the primer(the design) white seen here: or paint the primer white and put a white line around the dust cap here: (the white designs were mocked up on the pc) im not sure which of the three i like better so id like some opinions which looks better or if a different color would look better... *Note i know a LOT of yall hate icp and juggalos and all that but this is my thing so please dont hate on me for it im just lookin for opinions on which design and if it would look better with a different color... Kevin M
A lot of people don't like ICP, but that should have absolutely zero to do with what you do to your subwoofer. It's just music and I am a fan too. The music makes me laugh. With that said I have a another idea for you to try. Instantly recognizable as ICP. Looks more dust-cap-ish too lol Quote 2005 Ford Focus zx4 AMT's and Planars 18" Infinite baffle
RooTxBeeR
That joker card would look beast, but to make it small enough to fit on the dustcap I think would make it not worth it. I honestly love the look of a hatchetman on my my dustcap and I might do this in the future. You should make it red buddy!!! MMFWCL!! RooTxBeeR
I would go with the red if the cones are blue, that would look pretty raw. I wouldnt do the ring, thats just me personally. Junior Russell
yeah thats kinda what was calling to me when i first got the idea because i was looking at my mangled dust cap thata i could no longer mount jl side out so i cut the rest of the mounting ring off and flipped it over then i saw my pendant and it hit me hatchet man on the sub...so i traced out my pendant on a peice of paper filled in the part where the chain mounts to it and had my template then hit the cap with primer and then the template so far im happy with the look but its to bland leading me here now im kinda leaning towards the red againbtw the color im going to try and put on in a high gloss unless someone hads a better idea and im going to be using either model paint or the paint for those figurine things you buy and paint yourself Quote http://www.youtube.c...e1?feature=mheehttp://www.stevemead...87#entry1993187 JVC KD-R530 head unit VVME INNO-D1500 sub amp Kenwood KAC-8402 amplifierPioneer 2-way 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohms DTI Audio 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohmsbox: 4.24 ft^3 tuned to 61 hertz (port walls fell off and dissapeared )
Junior Russell
just got back from wally world and while looking at the hugy ginourmas itty bitty selection i decided to go with this... some cardinal red and i also picked up some brushes the pack cae with a couple of brushes thatll work nicely for pin strpiing too... wally world ftw That joker card would look beast, but to make it small enough to fit on the dustcap I think would make it not worth it. I honestly love the look of a hatchetman on my my dustcap and I might do this in the future. You should make it red buddy!!! MMFWCL!! i wouldnt recomend it unless like me your sub fell apart(all the glue melts or something) and you put it back together like me or you buy a recone kit which i think with some companies you can request a blank dust cap not 100% on that though....or you can swap out the dust cap (ive seen it done) theres also some cones you can do this with like for example my old jl 10w04 which has a plastic(i think its a pollypropolene) cone: Edited May 8, 2012 by Junior Russell Quote http://www.youtube.c...e1?feature=mheehttp://www.stevemead...87#entry1993187 JVC KD-R530 head unit VVME INNO-D1500 sub amp Kenwood KAC-8402 amplifierPioneer 2-way 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohms DTI Audio 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohmsbox: 4.24 ft^3 tuned to 61 hertz (port walls fell off and dissapeared )
