john253a
First check how you sub is wired it should be parrell with is both (+) joined together and to (+) on amp that should give you the full 1000rms at 2ohm to sub. That amp is perfect for that sub so no need to upgrade unless you get another sub How is amp set as well? What box is the sub in as this could cause issues as well, All the specs are on there web to build a to spec box http://www.kicker.com/sites/default/files/SoloBaricL72006.pdf As for speakers check wiring from head unit and is there an amp to them if so how is it set, In some early 80 late 70's car they grounded the earth wire for speakers and only ran positive, this should not done with modern h/u What speaker and amp you have

nahinder
Hi John I had first wired the sub parallel, then later changed it to series. (Will wire it back) The box is an Sealed box and is about 150Liters >see pictures So you recommend to go for the stock box ? The settings on the AMP >see picture There is no amp between the speakers the wires run directly to the speakers. (planning on installing an second amp for the speakers to get rid of this problem) In some early 80 late 70's car they grounded the earth wire for speakers and only ran positive, this should not done with modern h/u [/Quote] Youre Right the rear speakers were still wired this way but i already disconnected those. will rewire that. Joe X
Ok get your trunk max dims while we figure out the speaker problem. For the speaker problem first enable your HPF o the head unit and set it to 63Hz, if that does not help post the model of your speakers. Ive enabled the HPF settings to 63Hz which slightly decreased the cracking. The speaker which came with the car, looks like an Composet but I think it misses the filter (Could this explain the cracking issue?) Brand is Caliber will check the models tomorrow, I wil also measure the trunk. Thnx Joe !
Audiojunkie23
First off, fix your gain and bass boost settings. Turn them down. If you go long with those settings you're going to fry your sub very quickly. My bad, didn't read correctly. I would check all of your wires. Make sure the positives are going to the positives and vice versa. Edited May 9, 2012 by Audiojunkie23
