hondakidd Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 hello guys, i have a few questions i need help on! building a box for my car and doing a mild wire tuck and i have 1 kinetic HC600 i was thinking about ordering another one or a bigger one like a HC1200 or around that size. i want to put both batterys in the trunk and get rid of the battery in my engine bay. and running 2 post. on my firewall for easy access. i will be running 2 gauge wire. whaat worries me is that the battery posts and wire are only rated at 300amps. and the HC600 alone is 850amps, will i have any problems running 2 gauge wire? or will i have any problems running the batery posts? the car is a 96 honda civic, do you think i can run the whole car and a single 12 off of 2 HC600 and be safe? jeffrm Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 Those post wouldnt work. They are for hooking up a charger to a battery in a race car. Why not just do a couple runs of ofc 1/0 or 2 gauge to the back and use a distrobution block to connect your main power wires up front. Just run the wire through an existing grommet in your fire wall or drill a hole, put a grommet in an run your wire. And if you get another battery get a hc1400. hondakidd Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Posted May 11, 2012 thats exactly what i was going to do. i was going to run both batteries to a distro block in the trunk, one lead to the amp and one lead to the bay and another distro block in the bay. i have a synergy 2400 watt amp. sorry to sound like a noob but what is "ofc" and thanks for clearifying it up about the posts, ive seen them in alot of cars but i was never to sure.

hondakidd Posted May 14, 2012 Author Report Posted May 14, 2012 wordd, i just ordered a KR612 for the super low. i think the wire tuck and batery relocate can wait for now. so i will have my HC600 and KR612 powering my synergy 2400watt amp. i think i need to do a little planning before i tackle the battery relocate.
