Consider this the start of my build log. The system may still be a little while off, but I got plenty of other things to tend to with it. I got her all washed up today and vacuumed the inside. No interior pictures yet! Maybe tomorrow.

Not diggin' the hood, but the body looks very straight for an oldie like this. What are the plans for it?

I don't like it either, getting a better cowl hood are in the plans lol. But yeah I thought the same thing. And that's also original paint. I bet it'll shine right up with a good buff/wax.

My plans right now are get it legal, get it safe, and then get it looking good. I'm not gonna worry about engine performance this summer.

-Ford Racing lowering springs

-Window tint

-New headlights

-Goodyear Eagle GT's, white lettering out

-Offroad x pipe, not sure about mufflers yet

-Replace some missing/broken interior parts

-Steam clean/shampoo carpet and upholstery

-Install head unit, component speakers, and amp

Not sure about the rest yet. And I could completely change my mind. We'll see what happens.

I'm making slow, but steady progress. I spent today finding various screws in the garage that would fit some interior panels that were loose. I dropped $900 at Goodyear Monday on a fresh set of Eagle GT's (225/60/16), a new tie rod since one was bent, and an alignment. Drives much better now. I also began peeling off the purple, bubbling window tint. The real challenge will be peeling the rear window without destroying my defroster. More pictures will be on the way maybe when I get up in the morning.

Goodyear also said the inner side of my left drum brake rotor is apparently cracked completely in half and my brake lines are dry rotted/cracking. I'm researching this so I can fix it myself before I lose my brakes.

Got some new headlamps to revive the front of the car. Not to mention the driver's side lamp had a small pond in it before I drilled a hole in it.

I'm really happy with the new lights. Kept it classic with the same shape, but with a little modern "euro" touch I guess you would call it. The car was designed by a European team of engineers anyway.

Putting a steam cleaner to the tint will make your life much easier taking off the tint & won't ruin the defroster, just steam it, then it'll peel right off without leaving any adhesive behind.

Thanks for the advice, I heard that's what tint shops use for it anyway. I'll ask around and see if I can find one. I don't wanna go through too much hassle with it.

I used to work for a shop doing tint so I learn a few tips & tricks! Before that, I used to go through hell removing old tint for windows, not to mention making a mess with them blades.
