Cheap subs = no bass?!!

change the phase button from 180 to 0.

So theres a problem in your wiring, just unhook one and try it out.

no one has asked what model numbers the subs are. either dual 2 or dual 4 ohm. that is the first thing we need to know to fix your wiring (if thats the problem)

They are dual 4ohm. They get much louder when my rear output is set to rear instead of subwoofer.. but I checked the back of the headunit they are definitely in the subwoofer rca spots. Is that normal?

Do you have a built in xover on the HUs subwoofer out? If so- make sure it is set to no lower than 80 hz. And have you put a DMM across your speaker hook ups to see what impedance your amp is seeing?

Could it be these just don't do the low lows?

Sub level is all the way up. I played some electronic music and it hit like crazy. It's when I listen to hip hop that the notes are quiet, then the sub gets really loud in certain parts of the song which overpowers the rest of the system. So, the system overpowers the sub, mostly. Then at certain spots, the sub clearly overpowers the system. At first I thought it was the amp clipping or something but even at very low volume levels you can tell the difference. This doesn't seem normal to me at all?
