OrionStang
Yeah, facing back will still rattle. But facing up will rape the trunk lid, been there, done that. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Sheena
facing forward doesnt rattle very much, if at all. facing back is like RATTLE CITY CHICK. trunk cars are the worst. best thing to do for minimal rattle, is fire forward with the box all the way pushed back to the trunk. or sealed firing forward. but by all means, you can test it out for yourself Quote 09 Civic EX KDC-X395 (2) SKAR Audio VVX-12 Skar Audio SK-1500.1 4 cu ft @32 (new box and more port soon) Firing Forward not sealed off Stock 80 Amp Alt Big 3 In 1/0 Knu 2 Runs To The Back 1 Pos 1 Neg In 1/0 Knu DD-1'd 13.8v drop

412 CVX
It's not very loud, and not optimal. most of the energy from the sub goes into flexing the trunk lid rather than in the cabin Quote Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid. basshead7890
I couldn't tell a difference between firing up and firing forward, both rattled alot, but mine isn't 100% sealed off. I put foam all the way around my trunk lid and it help alot.
