single din head unit

Recommended Posts

i am looking to switching out my avh-p4300dvd for a good single din hu.

was wondering what hu's you guys would recommend. i do not want a hu with push button but a dial.

also i was looking at the Pioneer DEH-80PRS but i personally haven't seen or heard anything about them.

any suggestions?

I'm currently running the 80prs on a two way active set up. Love it for the price. Cheaper then any processor that comes close to what it does. Had a pioneer AVH 5200 flip out which is almost identical to your 4300 just a flip out. I do miss the bigger touch screen but the iPod and USB interface on the 80prs is the fastest I have ever used. Literally no load time. Plus the USBs are powerful enough to charge my iPad.

i am not a huge fan of kenwood, just have had some bad experiences with them in the past.

so it seems like every one digs the 80prs

rob how difficult is it to set up everything on the 80prs? i have never used a head unit to run active i have always used a processors for all my settings. also could you make a video of you using the head unit so i could get an idea of its userbility?
