Sutliff
I bought this D3400 back in June, but I needed it out for a couple of reasons: A XS Power 500 heat wrap kit, 580 brass post kit, & a pair of Stinger 1/0 / 4awg terminals: Zeke '14 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Vehicle Details & Mod List: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/1703-chevrolet-monte-carlo-ss/ Audio Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/143276-2003-chevy-monte-carlo-ss-audio-build-ib-build Pioneer FH-P8000BT Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Fi IB3 (Two 12", 2-ohm SVC) RF T400-2 & T500-1bdCP MechMan S Series 240A XS Power D3400 & D975

Sutliff
To save on back pain, I ran these POS & NEG runs of 2awg welding cable through the center of the interior without taking any photos, but here's where they come up along the firewall: *** EDITED IN 2014 BECAUSE PHOTOBUCKET SCREWED UP MY LINKS *** Zeke '14 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Vehicle Details & Mod List: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/1703-chevrolet-monte-carlo-ss/ Audio Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/143276-2003-chevy-monte-carlo-ss-audio-build-ib-build Pioneer FH-P8000BT Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Fi IB3 (Two 12", 2-ohm SVC) RF T400-2 & T500-1bdCP MechMan S Series 240A XS Power D3400 & D975

Sutliff
BATT re-installed & a new OEM harness installed on the i-Bar. I had to re-purpose a junkyard, GM side-mount harness from an Impala because using those shitty Kicker side post "things" the first time I had to cut into the whole harness. This donor was near-perfect, ... used some Simple Green & re-wrapped it with some new loom 'n tape, then lightly sanded the ring terminals, & I was in business. Nice factory look with the four terminals going: to the starter, OEM Fuse Box, engine GND, & a crappy chassis GND. The pictured Stinger terminals are where the system will get its real, solid connections, both POS & NEG. Below you can see the POS side of the great-looking harness, & one of the Stinger's mounted & dual 1/0awg installed - one to the breaker, one to the ALT ... ... & a short trip up into a RF 200-Amp breaker ... & 2awg out to RF terminals in back, ... then into each of new RF 100-Amp breakers before into the amps ... *** The dual-1/0awg out of the Stinger POS BATT terminal was for aesthetics ... obviously one goes to the ALT, & the other to the circuit breaker, ... then the 2awg run to the back was plenty enough after asking around & reading Ampacity charts, etc. *** One last connection ... a short length of 1/0awg - GND for BATT to ENG of "Big 3" ... Well-crimped, then heat-shrinked ... *** For some reason the heat-shrink came out looking blue-ish in the photo, ... it is black. *** ... & that about sums it up folks. I turned the key to fire up the car for the first time in over a week, & it fired right up, & the system came right on. After some messin' with the controls on the deck to re-program it, I was making sweet noise in no time! I will be taking more photos of the finished product under the hood & out back shortly, I still have to get the PASS seat back in first ... Thanks to anyone who reads the additional post here ... comments, question, & harassment always welcome. *** EDITED IN 2014 BECAUSE PHOTOBUCKET SCREWED UP MY LINKS *** Zeke '14 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Vehicle Details & Mod List: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/1703-chevrolet-monte-carlo-ss/ Audio Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/143276-2003-chevy-monte-carlo-ss-audio-build-ib-build Pioneer FH-P8000BT Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Fi IB3 (Two 12", 2-ohm SVC) RF T400-2 & T500-1bdCP MechMan S Series 240A XS Power D3400 & D975
