Chode69
I believe the finishing number was 136.7 on the TL 6 feet from the van, I talk to Dwayne (Pewee) Llamar all the time and he is one of E's teammates and best friends thats kinda bs...it should go by the highest peak. i dont like that rule. might as well wait til the last 5 seconds to play your note then. tommyk90
thats kinda bs...it should go by the highest peak. i dont like that rule. might as well wait til the last 5 seconds to play your note then. Driveby is a 30 second average (like bassrace), that "peak" number he's referring to was the loudest it was during the whole pass. Back in 2005 driveby was a peak hold format, so all you had to do was play for 2-3 seconds to register your number and that would be it. It was not fun to watch at all. With the 30 second average you have to play for the ENTIRE 30 seconds or your score drops like crazy. Makes it MUCH more fun to watch. Also, since MECA determines classes by fusing and cone area, it puts added pressure on people in the lower classes to be able to hold their score for an entire run. Back in 2005 all we had to do was burp for a few seconds and let our fuses blow and be fine, now we have to be very careful not to get too crazy and turn it up high and blow our fuses. Either way, eric smashed the old driveby record (set by tommy mckinnie) by 3.5 db! A lot of talk is going around saying that tommy is going to try and post up a bigger score at SBN, so we'll see what happens. I think when eric builds the van the way he wanted to originally, we'll see a 140+ out of it. tommyk90
Also, I think this van should be considered a groundpounder. On saturday night at finals he was demoing it playing some young jeezy and OMG, shit's ridiculous. I also forgot to mention that eric also did a 162.5 at the HEADREST!! It's sick loud. I've seen all the heavy hitters in db drag and bassrace, and I can honestly say that eric's van had the most flex that I've ever seen. That includes guys like mckinnie, pipo, perillo, etc. The driver's door would move so much that you could almost see into the cabin THROUGH the door jamb. I wish I had a video camera during that 2nd run because I was standing right next to the driver's door.
