Need suggestions on port size per foot on 2 12s

Recommended Posts

I have 2 sundown sa12s and im trying to move as much air as i can with them, like enough to do decent hair tricks, and i need suggestions on how much port space per foot i would need. im looking to tune the box at 29hz as that is what my current box is tuned at. Most likely going with an L-port design and subs up port up. Any help is appreciated

What kind of music do you listen to? 29hz is way too low IMO. And your probobly not gonna get hairtricks outta 2 12's. At least not good hairtricks.

Well if you listen to a lil bit of everything, I would tune closer to like 33-36hz I'm tuned at 34.7ish and I play well down into the 20's no prob.

An just cause one guy was able to in a trunk car doesn't mean anyone can do it. Its very dependent on the vehicle and install.

Oh and can you link a vid of that hairtrick on those subs? :drinks:

Oh, it is possible with the right size of box and power. This guy in video got two solo X12" and can do the hairtrick pretty well. :)

Thats what i want. :( im probably going to go with a slightly smaller box with a little more port area than the box i have now. the box is too big for the power im pushing haha
