  1. Funnily enough, I actually thought about doing that. I probably will do something like that in the future for sure! For some odd reason, however, I'm very curious about Skar as well. I will hold my U10 in case if I change my mind. Thanks for comment!
  2. Vehicle: Brick Encore 2018 Sound System (currently): Single U-Series 10" powered by a SAZ1500 amplifier Sundown Others: N/A (no Big-Three just yet but will soon) Budget for new system?: N/A I had a long and hard thought about what to do with the system and decided that I want to start everything from scratch. I'd like to try SKAR for the first time! So I decided to lurk through official website: I have to admit that the enclosure (Triple 8" SDR loaded) looks really nice! 😲 But then when I was looking at Tuning Frequency (46Hz), I was like, "Isn't it bit too high?" Is it good for music such as rap/hip-hop, trap, etc.? I'm just curious what's your thought on that. And as for the amp, I was looking at "FREQUENTLY BOUGHT TOGETHER" recommendation (at the bottom of SKAR page) and it says it's good with RP-2000.1D. I'm no installer myself but I don't see how the wire works? RP-1200.1D makes more sense, wouldn't it? I don't mind doing the 2000.1D as long as it's right tuning and keep under control. I probably will end up doing the 2000 watts upgrade later on in life (who knows, lol.) And now for speakers for my doors. My SUV has four doors, so I will have to buy 2 sets of Component Speakers. Skar SPX-65C came to mind. I'm struggling to find the right amplifier to power a pair of SPX. I don't know if buying two RP-150.4AB would be a good idea or not but I'd like to have at least a single amp to power all Comp speakers. Thanks for your time and cannot wait to try out new system!
  3. I agreed. It's best not to put any sticker outside vehicle. It's pretty crazy that some random just decided to break in and steal something you do not expect at all.
  4. Just wanting to say awesome job on the new looks/designs on the website! I love how the subwoofers/amps are pictured with the different backgrounds to make it looks great.
  5. Awesome. I've watched a couple of your youtube videos and was pretty impressive with it. Keep it up, buddy. This is something I'd love to do: Travel from state to state, win some awards and having some good time.
  6. Thanks for the information! I wasn't aware they're about to come out around summer time. Definitely looking forward to it in the future.
  7. Ohh, I see what he means. It took me a while to figure out and realized that SoundSolutionsAudio.com is different than 1800woofers.com. Reason is this: Go to Sundownaudio.com>Find a Dealer>Internet Dealers. There was an image logo of SSA and, when I clicked it, it takes me to 1800woofers.com. That's why I got confused and assumed they're the same thing for a moment, lol. Well, after visiting SSA site, it does appear that they might have it. I probably will have to call/email first to see if they have it. Thanks, guys! Can't wait to finish up my system soon!
  8. Which website you're speaking of? www.1800woofers.com? It says "Pre-Order" on there. It appears that they haven't update the page yet because the date on that page says "Expected Shipping Date is: December 31st 2014." I think that's alright. If I can't find it, then I'm willing to go with different brand set for now. Who knows if Sundown will provide an awesome CS set in the future and I might pick it up later on if it's good. -Smurfboy
  9. If I cannot find SA6.5 anywhere, then I'm willing to go with different brand if I have to. I'm just curious to know what's going on with SA6.5 before moving on. :-)
  10. Forgive me if I missed anything (haven't visited the forum for several months until recently). About a year ago, I bought four SA-8" and a SAZ1500D amp. The only thing I'm missing is the Comp Speaker for the doors. After going through several websites, I've noticed that they do not have SA6.5 CS in stock at the moment. It kinda scares me for a bit because I like to have the same brand name for everything (blame my OCD, lol). Does anyone know what's the story behind all that? Thanks for your time. -Smurfboy
  11. Welcome to the forum, Nick. And as for the question, just in case you didn't know, we are not allow to discuss about "This vs that" subwoofers. Reason: People who love "this" subwoofer will tell you to get it while other who love "that" subwoofer will tell you to get it. Generally-speaking, there is no wrong answers and it's good for a person to experience themselves and see/hear which subwoofer(s) they prefer to. When it comes to the question of "Which one is louder?", please bear in mind that it's all about installation. The type of box and proper/well-built can make a huge difference. You said you do not have an issue with budget. Maybe flip a coin and get the subwoofer. Don't like? You can always sell it and get a different one. Based on what I've seen on Internet and reviews, there are plenty of people who really like/love Alpine Type R and Sundown. It seems to me that Sundown is very good company and well-known for getting extremely loud. That's all I know. Maybe someone in here will help you with it. Good luck.
  12. Oohh, I didn't even know what MAP actually stands for. Thanks for informing me. Well, forget this thread, lol. You can lock this thread and move on.
  13. www.WoofersETC.com puts a little higher price on subwoofers/amplifiers. Thought I just give you a head up. I don't know if they're not aware of this map price or do they have the right to raise the price on their own? Funny, when I ordered one of the amp (low price) on that website and as soon as I got it, they all of suddenly shot up the price on the page. I was like, "whoa, what's going on?" lol.
  14. I've noticed that the v2 handle more watts than the previous version and looks bit 'beefier'. That's all I know. You can find the pictures of them at WoofersETC.com for comparison.
  15. I'd love to get x8" someday down the road. Probably not this year or the next because I just ordered and got four SA-8"v1.5 about a month ago. I kinda promised myself not to spend another new system for the next few years or so, so that I can focus on my family and other stuff. But yeah, x8" sounds really cool. Can't wait to see what it does with the score.
  16. How dare you!!!! Actually, I just downloaded Chrome few days ago and tried to test everything in this forum to see if it works. Gotta say it's not bad at all. I might stick with Chrome for a while.
  17. n8Ball, I have a comment about that. The old original rule (about one or two years ago), it was something like "Must have 300 posts to post in the sale thread." And I did posted there at that time when I hit 300 posts. Now, few months later, I've noticed that it has changed to "750 Post" but did not change the date. I think this is very false information and moderator needs to fix the date. It is definitely not "NEW UPDATE!!! 2-24-09." To prove to you that I'm telling the truth. Here is my old sale thread: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/151291-kx12001-up-for-sale/ And look at the date: "07 September 2012" Seriously, though. Whoever update that rule needs to be 100% honest about that. It's definitely not 2-24-09.
  18. Um, whoever runs the forum needs to fix the IE issue. Please don't ignore us! Say something.
