Just turn your gain to 3/4 don't use a bass knob and itstead use this setting on your hu called volume to control the bass..

I really don't want to buy a dd-1 just to prove a point. I mean I live in the city, can't full tilt at red lights LOL. I get like 3 mins of full tilt a day. Which is why I haven't bought a dd-1 or tuned my system.

That's why you set your gains on the amp CORRECTLY, and then adjust with the remote knob. It's not that difficult, unconventional, or roundabout. You can turn the gain down bit you can never turn the gain beyond what's set on the amp. It is stupid to set your amp gains at max, and then use the knob to turn it down. The only difference between the correct way and your way is that maxxing out the knob should not max out the gain on the amp. And its dumb to set it up that way.

You can still control it at the headunit or bassknob with your amp setup properly, but noooooo you insist on going against the right logical way of doing it, you are Fucking retarded man.
