Battery Question

Recommended Posts

So I'm in a predicament where I can get two different types of batteries (3) XS3100 or (6) Blue-Top Optimas.

I was told that the 6 Optimas will actually be better than the 3 XS because it's more reserves, but I'm not to positive on if that is true nor have I heard anything on that.

So pretty much, I need to get pointed in the right direction on whether to go with 3 XS3100 or 6 Blue-tops?

(System will be daily as well as competed)

I know the specs on the XS are much better than the Optimas, but will more Optimas equal no clipping due to voltage?

Big question is what are you planning on running?

Current Systems:

2011 BMW 335i

Hertz HDP1

DC LVL3 12" Full Carbon Fiber

2002 Acura Tl
Kenwood DNX9980HD
2 DCLVL4 12" Subs with LVL5 Parts D.7 Coils
DC 3.5k
Hertz HSK-165 up front HCX-165 Rear
Hertz HDP4 Amp
DC Power Engineering 260 Amp Alt
Big 3 and amp powered with KNU 1/0
XS Power D2400 Up Front

i pulled out my dick in class many of times and had it shown. get over it bitch...stupid open legged hairy beavered bitch...

going over rms = smaller box, under rms = bigger box...

Low voltage doesn't blow amps. That's a myth.

A router that does the sub holes makes rounded edges also?

What size blue top? What size alternator do you have?

I don't have any hands on experience with the blue tops, but I have heard they don't do so well in the automotive world - something about how they aren't designed to be hooked up to an alternator. Hopefully someone can confirm or deny this

Get the XS. Blue tops are meant for long draw, lower current applications such as a trolling motor or RV, not a fast discharge like XS.

hmm, alright thanks guys. I'm continue my plans with the XS. 3 should do? or would I need more?
