a couple of tips i learned with these subs

they can take 2k no problem but learn what to sniff for

subsonic filters are your friend

they will play low regardless of tuning

listen for "tapping" because inevitably it WILL happen

I smell smoke.

Open the trunk, the amp is on fire!!! Actual flame coming from the vent holes!!!

I quickly disconnect the battery cables (luckily my tools were right there since I just installed everything), and get the amp out on the ground.
