Are you worried about flex of the baffle? Most IB setups i see are pretty thick with the baffle!

This is a friend of mines 2 15" IB setup in a Challenger, his baffle is about 4.5" thick. literally no flex plus its glassed into the side panels. Seriously stronger than some full boxes i have seen.

The subs are only going to see 200 watts each, so I don't know if flex will be a problem. If there is any flex, only thing I can do is reinforce it some more on the back side.

Well damn, if I have that issue I can angle-iron brace the back side. Or, scrap it and do the subs where the rear seats used to be. I already have a design for that, I was working on a while ago.

If you run a reinforcement on the top, bottom, and more on the middle joint you should be ok. I would hate to see you get far, mount the subs and have flex issues.

IB setups need to be extra solid, hense the reason his baffle is so thick plus literally close to a 1/2" of fiberglassing to seal it off.

Now I wish I would have researched a bit more. There aren't many true IB setups to look at anyway.

I think that middle joint may be the weak point, won't know until the subs are in and tested.

Did you try to make a one piece baffle? cause you could always make a regular rectangle baffle tape and foil the side for glassing and use foam to fill the gaps then shape them afterwards. That way you can bracket the top and bottom for securing it and then install the side pieces after installation.

Scheduled off day from the gym, so even though I'd rather catch up on sleep, I finally got around to running power/ground cable.

Just 2 runs of 4awg and 2 runs of 8awg from Audiotechnix.

Looks so tiny compared to the 4 runs of 1/0 that used to be here.

When I got to the trunk, I realized Coleman hooked it up with quite a bit extra.
