Avery Howell
This is probably a stupid question but what are Direct Leads and what are the advantages of them? Thanks guys! aN-i-No
Direct leads = no push terminals. Just wire that comes straight off of the tinsel leads. I'm not sure if it's been proven to be better or not. I've never had a problem with push terminals.

ALPINE408
There is nothing wrong with push terminals DD made direct leads as a sale gimmic and to save money the save 5 bucks a sub not putting on push terminals times that by a thousand subs sold DD just saved 5 grand and made you think it was better for doing it Some good marketing right thuurrr Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown? Bump4life
less resistance to your sub = potentially higher score on a TL. you most likely couldnt tell the difference between direct leads and terminals on a sub unless they are some very resistive little phuckers. ALPINE408
Same resitance there is still a connection being made from the tinsel to the lead fyi I tested it good try tho just a sales gimmic Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown?
SojiaRaggs9000
Best benefit I see is it's easier to use 8ga + for speaker wire. Pretty hard to put 2 pieces of 8ga into 1 push terminal (without cutting any stands). No sale gimmick there.. just just common sense. Bump4life
Same resitance there is still a connection being made from the tinsel to the lead fyi I tested it good try tho just a sales gimmic yea i tested .1 ohm resistance in the terminals. but maybe i did it wrong. i think we agree that direct or push terminals will sound the same and are nearly the same in connection quality Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now.
