RooTxBeeR
Ok, I searched on the forum and really couldn't find a legit answer for what I was looking for. Right now on my box, When I first put my subs both inverted and switched the two around. I had severe unloading. Before, when i had first built my box, I had the sub closest to the port normal, and the one above the port opening, inverted. I noticed that once I put them both inverted, my subs' cones rested in different locations. If you looked eye level with the magnet, you could see the spider of one sub, but not the others. I don't know how they came to be like that, but when I inverted both and switched there positions, I had realllllly bad unloading. I just want to know cons/pros about sub placement when building a box for future references when I go to build new boxes for new set ups. john253a
In a box is a good start, lol Always try to put them as far away from port as possible but not to close to walls, and don't have them firing directly into the port opening,

Guest
your subs are old, arent they? the suspension is probably worn out to hell. i remember seeing this old mtx 15 this guy i knew had found. suspension was worn out to the point where, at rest, it would be sunk in like a quarter inch the sub closest to the port will always "unload" more than the one farther away.
