how do you design a removable slot port?

Recommended Posts

Looks like it .........but wont it be hard to remove/install because it will rub against the top and bottom of box and that joint at the 90* would take alot of stress twisting it in.

What about PVC or Aero's....make removable and have 2 different lengths.

Or 2 ports one on each side that are square tubes made of MDF...they dont go all the way to top/bottom of box but are 4 sided and removable. You could hav e ashort one 4 spl and longer ones for daily.

Shower farts still piss me off.

I think theyre pretty neat. When the water runs down your crack as you let one out... its like shitting in a crockpot.

Could I make a box that has a port on each side 1 for daily and the other for comps? Just have a sealer block to cover port not in use?

That port design to me wouldnt work well. First of all the inner part of that port isnt going to be screwed down at all and braced so it will move in the box under pressure. Second for only one part on the front of the box bracing the port it will not hold that much pressure of the box being pressurized of the subs moving and will break it off. You need a port that is not any bigger than the wall of the box you install it on. Just like what Meade has in his tahoe. You want to have it so that the port is like suspended inside the box. I.E. not touching any of the other walls.
