maybe one of the hooks that holds the exhaust broke and it rubs against something at times....happened to me.....or Catalytic converter...

Is the noise coming from inside the tailpipe or outside of the pipe?

The only part I can hear it perfectly is inside the muffler itself near the out pipe

I wish it was just a hook but I checked them all, all good. Although I didn't check the cat...but the rattle is most prominent at the muffler itself so I hope its not that...guess ill find out when the new one goes on if the rattle continues or not

Just an update, sorry dude I forgot to get that picture. I had the new muffler put on today and that was what the rattle was, something must have broken off inside it. Power is back, I think that last muffler I had was a bad egg from the start. However I do miss how loud it was, the Super 44 has a low growl and sounds means when I step on it but the other one I had sounded mean at all times. Oh well, like I said before, you live and learn. Next time, Im going for the Super 40 series.....which could possibly be soon. haha Thanks again everyone.

  • 2 weeks later...

btw for future ref screwdriver to the jaw bone right before your ear and tip to whatever youre trying to hear noises from, if youd done that you woulda immediately narrowed it to the muffler ;) just for next time.
