Are flip out tvs a thing of the past. I can get a good price or a used Kenwood.

Something to consider on those older KVTs, they have that separate brain you have to mount in a remote location. Just something to think about. My opinion is as long as the motor mechanism still works fine, you're fine to buy. They had issues with the earlier Kenwood KVTs going bad and gears stripping.

well back in the days when i had my first JL W0 and the when rockford fasgate was great. I had a pioneer flip out.

I was one of the first to have one and probably the first persons to get his taken.The dumb ass who stole it didnt take the brain.

I am about to install a Pioneer p7800dvd in my Tahoe simply because it was one of my favorite pioneer flip outs. I don't think it matters though if you like it do you.
