Skullz Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 1 channel, 2 channels? Possible it is the speaker but it is also possible it can be an amp issue or even a crossover. Best to try as many different things as you can to try and rule out as many or all as you can. Usually scratchy or bad sound is something inside an amp going but it could also be caused from something on a crossover going out too. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
OrionStang Posted June 17, 2012 Author Report Posted June 17, 2012 Well, I can rule out the amp because the tweeter on that channel is ok. Plus, the amp was already repaired. I did buy the crossovers used, so I will check them next. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Robert8252 Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 Could be the crossover. I had something very similar with my Hi Engery 3" and ends up it was just the cars vibration around the door panel and such.
