qcbangin Posted June 19, 2012 Author Report Posted June 19, 2012 Those are SUPER tiny pics. Can you post bigger ones? I don't really know how to post pics so I just copied and paste from photobucket.I also just got a email from Nick who says it is possible for me to run a 2 18 setup out of that trunk. I also seen a video on YouTube from stereo integrity of them running 2 18's in a 4.5ft^3 per sub ported, tuned to 29hz. I could easily fit a 9ft^3 box in there with plenty of room left.
412 CVX Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 I've worked with a lincoln towncar before actually. 2 15's in a 4th order BARELY fit. completely external ports firing into the package tray, exactly a 1:2 ratio. I'd probably do a single 18 in a ported box at most Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
qcbangin Posted June 19, 2012 Author Report Posted June 19, 2012 I understand its going to be pushing it to fit it in, but I (and Nick) believe it can happen. Nick figured the actual trunk is 19ft^3. If Nick thinks it is possible, I'm inclined to believe him. If I did external ports, and subs inverted, I think its ypossible. If it doesn't sound good, I'm not losing anything. Ill just build a different box for a single 18, and have a spare if I blow it. Edit: I don't think people are really understanding the size of my trunk. It is huge.
Learnin Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 QCbanging.... the only way you will know is to try it... work on it... dont let these people in here who dont know about it or dont know your car tell you it wont... some in here do but.... just try it man... most just talk out there butt!
qcbangin Posted June 19, 2012 Author Report Posted June 19, 2012 QCbanging.... the only way you will know is to try it... work on it... dont let these people in here who dont know about it or dont know your car tell you it wont... some in here do but.... just try it man... most just talk out there butt! I'm not going to let them discourage me. I think it is possible. I see my trunk everyday in person so know what kind if potential it has. I'm leaning more and more to trying. What do I have to lose honestly? Thanks for the encouragement, too. Who knows, maybe ill be one of the few which can accomplish it.
412 CVX Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 i don't think you know what you're getting yourself into haha. but good luck with it. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. Saltine Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 id listen to nick before a lot of dont knows that post here without getting there hands dirty with the exception of making a few rectangle box's I was told from many here that I couldnt put 2 18's in my fleetwood trunk, i was wasting my time, no way i could ever get the airspace ect...alot of the same stuff they are telling you... I put 2 18" fi BL's in my trunk, in an 11 cube box tuned to 33hz under the rear deck....true it can get louder if you cut some metal and remove factory dampening but its gets loud enough and flexs to the point that its knocked molding off the fully dynamatted body and i even broke the rearview mount in half. its loud so what im trying to say is dont let certain ppl tell you no, that trunk is big and more than likely can fit the setup you want

I appreciate it. And if you fit 2 bl's in your trunk, im sure i can fit 2 in mine. Do you have any pics of your build or trunk? You didnt cut any metal at all?
