qcbangin
I have a 91 Lincoln towncar and have wondered if it would be possible to put 2 18's in the trunk. It seems big enough, but with the usable space, I'm not sure it would work. I want to run 2 obsidian 18's off a 1700-2000rms amp. Possibly a hifonics Brutus series. My usable space is 26"H X 29"D X 43"W. I know it doesn't seem big enough by the measurements. I'm on mobile so I can't use the Torres calculator to figure it. Also, the obsidians recommend 5-7ft^3 for ported. From what I've read, they can also be in a sealed box. If it will work in ported, I plan on inverting the subs. So can anyone tell me if its possible?

Crandis16
I want to see this if you can. Maybe if you fiberglass the trunk and make the box un-removable. Inverting the subs would look sick too. Edit: one 18 is difficult enough lol, let alone two, but your vehicle has a pretty big trunk My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
Guest
2 18's? might as well wall the car off. unless you plan on cutting some serious metal out of the trunk to let the bass into the cabin, its not really worth it
qcbangin
I know one 18 will work for sure. I had a 94 Chrysler Lhs and ran a mayhem 18 in a 10ft^3 after displacement. And the box would be built smaller since I'd be running more than rated power. The measurements I gave is just usable space, the trunk is actually bigger than that. Not taller just deeper and wider. Its just the way the trunk is designed, that's all I have for a box to sit properly. Also, in a sealed box its recommended for a 3.5-5ft^3 box. Shankkilla420
I could see it MAYBE working firing forward in a sealed box. But that'd be some work to get it to fit.
bighossf150
I think sundown z v.3's uses smaller boxes Used to have a loud truck 2009 Corvette Z06, H/C/I, 150 shot, g force tune, 730rwhp/690rwtq 2013 F-150 limited, MPT Tune, leveled on 35"s
Guest
why dont you just use 15's or something? that would be kind of less difficult to deal with. just cause you have big woofers doesnt mean you'll be loud. if theres no space for the air to move, its all just wasted energy
