Names_jeff
OK, so i plan to have 2 comp. sets in each door (6 1/2) and maybe a super tweet in each as well. How would that work as far as wiring it up to the 175.4? Like each set to each channel? Also, what would be some recommended comp. sets to run off the 175.4? something that could handle the power from such a beastly 4 channel. lol -I'm pretty new at this so help me out here fellas! sphinxbccp
I know alot of people don't like the alpine type r components but that's what I'm running of my 175.4. Each channel has a set on it, wired in parallel to 2ohms, they handle it just fine and sound great, as for your tweeters, you'd probably have to get another small amp or even run them off the deck power. Hope this is somewhat helpful Quote Build log: Click Feedback: http://www.stevemead...xbccp-feedback/ 03 Chevy Blazer - IPad Air 2 - ALPINE Head Unit - 4 DC XL 18s - 2 DC 3.5k - ALPINE TYPE R 5.25 COMP - 3 ALPINE TYPE R 6.5 COMPs - DC 175.4 - DC HO Alt - D3400 - 4 XP3000s - KNU 0ga - 60 SqFt Damp Pro Lots more... RooTxBeeR
I would suggest getting another 2 channel to run the super tweets if you go for them. As far as wiring them up, just use the provided crossovers that come with which ever set you choose and put a set to each channel, should work fine. john253a
Me idd do an active setup with the 175.4 and get another amp for your super tweeter when you get them Idd brigade the mid on each side on 2 channels and bridge the tweeters on the other 2 ad high pass them at different freq, You could even run a cap on h/u front channel and run super tweeters of there(that's what ive done in the passed)
White Lightning
one pair of bad ass 8"s will out perform 4 average 6.5"s anyday ... I don't see the concept of running 2 6.5s in each door ... just saying ... then run your tweeters on the other two channels and you're golden ... just my suggestion Edited June 21, 2012 by Cablguy184 Quote Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? Names_jeff
And what is the difference from running active compared to comps?

In what ??? SPL or Sound Quality ?? In Sound Quality, If you modify the door pannels in any way in USACI or MECA, you automatically get bumped up in higher classes ... as far as I know in USACI or MECA ... SPL classes don't give a shit unless you go larger than a 8" driver passed (in front of) the "B" pillar ... And what is the difference from running active compared to comps? component sets come either active or passive ... passive has its own crossover network, and active has to be controlled by a external (headunit, etc..) crossover device ...
