andrew018018
You should have enough space to fire both the subs and the port back.. i could bet you it would be louder. I have a hatchback as well and i tried different box placement and port placement.. my best results where "subs back, port back" and "subs back, port sideways" ... now that i have a third sub i can no longer do port sideways. maybe you can modify your box a bit for testing and see how you go My System (in VW golf/Rabbit mk2) (1) Hifonics Brutus 2010D @ 1ohm (1) Hifonics Zeus 440 Mids'nhighs (3) JBL W10Gti subs (2) JBL GTO838 (2) JBL GTO936 (1) run of 3/0 Gauge ofc (1) Ac Delco120ah 850cca battery (front) (1) Ac Delco 45ah 330cca battery (rear) (1)Sony Gt630ui hu 34hz tuning
alaskanzx5
checked all the wires before during and after each time i tested it. the metter records the same score everytime as long as i dont make changes and my voltage stays the same. and this is the current box tuned to 43hz box is 4.03 cu ft tune to 43 hz with 67" of port, little big according to torres. torres says 48-63" the sub cut outs could have been better but it was my first time using a router and i did it freehand ( they look worse then they are only off by about 1/5-1/6 of an in in 2 spots on both cut outswith 67" of port, little big according to torres. torres says 48-63". does a 144 facing back and a 144.5 facing up. moving the box around while it was facing back i gained .2 and only lost db when i moved it agian. @ andrew018018 - had the old back subs back port back and sub up port up gained .5 db with sub and port up. a few people on here say the focus is great sub up port back so im gonna give it a try. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. alaskanzx5
oh and the t1500.1bdcp i have says 1890 at 1ohm so i figure im getting around 750-900 per sub right now depending on box rise and i hold just about 12volts right now at idle while metering. gotta do the power wire from alt to batt still so i know that will help give them a little more juice. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. john253a
look at pick idd say lower numbers as you peak has changed, and the clearance between the sub and rear wall is insufficient looks like port is some were between 4-5" so your spacing will need to be the same as a minimum
