So after having a perpetually leaking headlight, and a rather poorly put together retrofit using components from various companies..... I got tired of dealing with constant issues. I'm getting rid of my current lights and starting from scratch. New housings and a Mini D2s 3.0 from TRS w/ 55w ballasts. Also going to be toying with angel eyes this time around Because I'm an impatient child I wanted to see what they would look like, so I hooked it up and grabbed some comparison pics Heres a single headlight of my current setup - Mini H1 5.0 w/ ddm 55w ballast. SnowDrifter Posted September 21, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 21, 2014 HNNG! New pulleys came. Larger crank pulley and matching p/s pulley for moar idle output. My alt was designed for a car with an 8" pulley. Mine is only a bit over 5" As you could imagine getting 7a at idle gets lame quick. Also got an extra groove to match the DC power pulley.
