OrenB217
i was hooking up an amp today, while tightening the terminals on the amp, my allen wrenched touched the + and ground on the amp for a second making a huge spark (car was off). No fuses blew, amp still turns on just fine, no subs are hooked, is there any chance i still could have damaged anything? subs wont go in for a while so hope i wont see the problem once the subs are hooked up and the amp has a load on it (amp is a sundown 4.5k). bumonskateboard6
I think everyone's had a spark happen, just always disconnect the negative battery cable under the hood and you're good to go. Miguels
that is why you always disconnect the ground from the battery before you starts getting wires all over the place. also not fusing the positive wire helps Quote my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
