blross91
Okay my head unit frequency goes from 50, 63, 80, and some else, say if I set my cutoff at 80. And left my amp frequency at 35. Is my sub catching the frequency between 80 and 35.

zack_e89
From the research I've done, IIRC....You should only use the low pass on one medium. For example, I have the low pass on the head unit passing through, and just use the settings that are on the amp(low pass and sub sonic). I believe this is the best way to do it, maybe someone else can better explain this. Edit: I believe the answer to your question is yes. 97 Suburban 8 custom PSI Platform 3 18's

soundstream15
if you have a sealed box then dont turn the sub sonic on, if your ported then yes turn it on and have your lpf at 80hz you dont need to set it on the head unit if your amp has a lpf
