Does put out its power and as far as sound it sounds not much different than my AP but i definitely like the tuning knobs on this amp and crossover a lot better. Will change up my kicker subs soon so that should make more of a difference in the sub sound im getting which right now is good but getting bored and want to try another brand. The class a/b vs class d thing is not as simple as it may seem many other factors are involved in relation to the percentages you read about. This amp consistenly slams, doesnt hog current, and its well made.
