armykyle1
Yes this is a vs thread based on the same series of subs varying enclosures. This more based on enclosure design and car. Please do not close, even if you don't like me I'm looking to do a fun build based on the SA series. I most likely won't be swayed on this sub choice. I can't beat the price or first hand experience. I know the abuse they'll take since I've used them. This is based on not winning the IA contest So my theory so far is 8 10s in a 4th or 8 12s in a flat wall. 22-24 cubes with out getting too crazy. My primary concern is based on response and overall sound. Second is on competing. I'm pretty sure 8 SA10s in SB3 will be more competitive than 8 SA12s in SB4. Looking for people's ideas on each setup. Why you would choose one or the other. What would you do?! It's not for SPL, primary is for sound then competing. But if there has to be a choice for tuning on the flat wall I'll say 35hz Quote TEAM XS POWERTEAM HEAVY HERTZMy build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194454-e46-bmw-build-pos/#entry2914134youtube- http://www.youtube.com/user/armykyle1big build starting
Joe X
4.8 cubes for the 8s, 16 cubes for the 12s and thats NET the actual 12s box would need to be much bigger.

armykyle1
It's the price I can get them for plus I have hands on experience with them. Another thing is box size they like. It's basically going to be two 5k amps strapped @ 1ohm. I'm honestly leaning towards the 10s, since I won't have to wall and I can just do a back seat box. If I don't win the contest I'll probably go to a full wall with 12s. I might give the vvx 10s a shot since I was offered reasonable pricing.
