andale927 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 The dust cap on my 2 AA Mayhem 12s get pretty hot too and I am tuned with a dd-1 with a -5db test track. 2150w rms per woofer. The coil is also 4 layer as opposed to other subs 8 layers. I am guessing that cooling is used to compensate for the smaller voice coil? They seem fine so far though Quote
