bkolfo4
I didn't know that the more subs you have, the more alternators you need. Lol Dude - subs have to have alts bro. I had 16 10's in my suburban one time with only 1 alt. Still not sure how I did it. Quote Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. techaninna
I think what c-fizzy is saying is that the number of subs doesn't determine the need for alts and batteries. The amount of current draw from amplifiers determines the alts and batteries quantity. Quote Rebuild coming soon

bkolfo4
It always makes me laugh when people jump straight to the alt and battery issue. Both my suburban (16k watts) and my Astro (24k watts) had just 1 alt. . .9 batts in the suburban, 15 in the Astro. Never had an issue. Suburban was my daily driver for 7 years, first 4 years I ran 4000 watts on stock alt and two batts under the hood, last three was the wall with an excessive amperage 250 amp alt and I added 7 group 31's in the back. C-Fizzy
People love to over compensate their electrical around here. Not saying that's a bad thing. But when people start hearing about all these alts and batteries, Noobs start telling other noobs that if you wanna run 4 18's you need 4 alts. Like you just saw in this thread. Love when I see noobs giving noobs horrible advice. Quote under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?
