SMZ2 Posted September 5, 2012 Author Report Posted September 5, 2012 That's the whole purpose of the 4x4 blocks, it makes the surface you're drilling into 1.5" thick, so you can recess all the hardware (nut, washer, allthread) into the first layer, and then you have the second layer which is the little block. I think, if you can, you should use it in conjunction with the angle iron. little extra bracing never hurt I'll try to do a cutaway view in MS paint. Okay that sounds like a plan. Also for filling in the port hole I guess I'll just cut out another piece when I double up the top to fit inside the old port screw it and glue it and then fiberglass it all in. So the box need these things to be finished proper bracing, sealed old port, doubled up top layer, and paint.
