even adding a second stock alt would be better than a cheap ebay alt..

i can probly sell my aq 2200 and buy my old rf for 200 bucks im only runing 1 hdc3 anyway i wanted to run 2 but i was worried about volt drop i have to drop 900 bucks for sub box and ho alt

actually you need to know what you really want, this is like wanting to build a hot rod and not willing to spend money on fuel. there really is no point on what you are trying to do, either you upgrade was needed or get like a 200 wttt amp to be able to use your stock alternator. anything over 1000 watts is asking for a small electrical upgrade. for the aq2200 you can do with 200a alt and 2 big batteries not small like you have

wire that sub to 4 ohms

and half gain dont mean anything. it can be all the way down ans still give you rated rms. it all has to do with the signal the head unit sends

X2. wire it to 4ohms. It makes your amp way more efficient and won't draw nearly as much current. you could do this until you get an alt that would hold up.
