Got some spray bed liner for my amp rack and some white paint for the fixed port. Just going to put a thin coat on the fixed port so I wont have any problems sliding the removable port back and forth. Also decided to get spray bed liner instead of roll on cause I am still trying to get the Herculiner on my hands and legs. I made the mistake of wearing shorts and short sleeves to roll it on

Got the last bare piece of my build covered yesterday. I finally did get the amp rack painted yesterday but my photobucket was down last night and couldn't upload the pics. However I did get a chance to grab a few pics with better lighting this morning.

Yesterday during lining process:

I appreciate it man. I was kinda worried i would get black scuff marks everywhere bugs it's turning out ok though.

I got some undercoating for my frame ground. I will tape off the flat part on the front and then just spray it from the top of the solder down to the wire. Once I get that part painted I will install the ground back on the frame once it has dried and I will then tape off the head of the bolt and spray undercoating on the freshly stripped frame to protect it from the salt at the coast. This process sound ok?

Also I found these bolt at lowes and thought they would look good holding the sub to the box. Would I have to drill out the holes on the sub for these more than likely? If so I probably won't go with these cause I don't want to drill into the sub if I can help it. Anyway what y'all think about these?

And can anyone recommend anything other than regular ole screws to attach the sub to the box without having to drill out the holes on the sub? Or are screws just the simplest and he's way?

Those would be really good if you use threaded inserts or t-nuts. Not sure if you'd have to drill though.

Also, undercoating process sounds good. Just make sure where you mount the ground, all rust, dirt, and whatever is removed first, then spray the undercoat on the whole area.

Looks good man! :clapping:

I think the bed liner on the amp rack was the right choice, too! It looks nice against the blue and silver on the amp.

I will start spraying undercoating on the exposed frame and solder today and will have pics of that once I get off work today.

@graham: I just want something other than regular screws but how would you suggest putting the threaded inserts in the speaker box? and what kind of threaded insert would you recommend?

@Purple: I really appreciate it man. I think white would have made it stand out too much in the rear seat area. I like the black with the mainly dark amp and it kinda makes the silver come out a little more. The bed liner kinda makes it more subtle than the white.

I appreciate it there Tre. Just trying to keep it clean and subtle. Also for the t-nuts once I drill the pilot hole would I just hammer the sharp little fins in? I guess I need to pick up a couple and test them out on a scrap piece. I will look around see what I can find next time I'm at Lowes.
