basshead4life Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Try both ways and see which sounds better, and It's port area you want to check not port length. I don't think a port is too long if it's tuned right. Team S.M.D. Maritime Car Audio- (2) 18" SSA ZCON D1 - American Bass 500.1 - 60 ft of 3/0 -480 Ah of battery - (2) stock alternators (70 +90) - Kenwood Excelon x-794, 4v preouts car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol
mttornquist Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 What people have told me about squad bodes is you need to tune lower. Lower your tuning to like 28 if you truely want an sq box. As for your car, just try it both was and see which sounds better. Edit: ninja'd ^^^ My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...lmost-complete/
