dl9890 Posted August 1, 2012 Author Report Posted August 1, 2012 smd all day or fi btl fully loaded n3 Am I the only one who found this post funny? I dont think 1000w would even tickle either of those subs. If you choose to go the DC route, either the Level 3 or Level 4 15 would do nicely and would be well within your budget. You could also do a pair of Level 2s that would go perfectly with your amp and budget. I don't really get what is funny. My friends L7 had a 1000 watt amp on it and his roof was bouncing. Anyways. My amp is rated at 1,036 RMS so I wanted my sub to be 1,000RMS atleast.
TeamHT Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 That makes me laugh.^^^ Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.

Considering I'm 17 and still learning that's why I ask these "Funny" questions. That's why I'm saving my money up to buy a nice system and am trying to get some help is all.

Those subs will laugh at your amp. Trust me, I am not just talking out of my ass here.

I really like kicker amps and don't wanna get rid of it cause I just got. So i'm trying to pair my subs to the amp. Ya' know? Just trying to get some ideas.
CJ18 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 I will give you some slack since you are just asking questions. Stay away from Kicker SUbs and you will be happy. It is a mainstream brand that you can buy at bestbuy. Mass produced and not very high quality. They do make good amps.
412 CVX Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Okay, for starters, do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy the L7. you can do MUCH MUCH better for the money. Everyone here has recommended excellent subs. Nobody is gonna agree on what's best so I suggest you just pick one. Probably something that leaves you with a little overhead if you decide to upgrade power in the future. Pretty much anything you buy on SSAudio.com is a good choice, whatever you pick, just shoot me a PM and i'll help you with the box. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
412 CVX Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Probably the best thing you can do for yourself is to clear your mind of what you've been told before, and listen to these guys. I guess i'll make my mind up sooner or later. Thanks for the tips though.
