Big_A
Obsidian Audio 12's have a 600 rms power handling. What is the most power you can actually feed one without damaging it though? Thanks http://obsidiancarau.../index.php?id=6 Edited August 3, 2012 by Big_A
TRTC360
600 rms, the rating is there for a reason, if you insist on overpowering don't go much above 800, don't clip and don't play below tuning Quote '93 Firebird Formula V8 H/U- Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X395 Mids/Highs Amp- Hifonics ZXI80.4 Wiring-KNU RCA's, Speaker Wire, And Two Runs Of Trystar 1/0 G34 Red Top and a 180amp Ford Alternator www.youtube.com/TRTC360

bassface
Ive noticed that basket looks very similar to many other subwoofer baskets, I wonder if its like an off the shelf subwoofer part.

Big_A
Everyone is saying diff things. I tried emailing someone from Obsidian but never got a reply. Maybe I should just be safe and keep it at 600.....
bassface
Yeah man just be safe until you know what you are doing. you could always turn the gain on the amp all the way down or wire the subs in series if you wanted to start out slow with a bigger amp.
