So i did the big 3 on my car the other day and i saw no difference in my voltage -___- im PISSED! burned my finger soldering the 0 gauge for nothing!! Although i will admit the voltage does hesitate a little before dropping.. guess i thought i was gonna go from 14.1 to like 14.5-14.6 :angry2:

It won't up your voltage, it'll help keep your voltage up under strain.

I think 14.1 ain't too bad to be honest.

i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah..

the big 3 isn't SUPPOSED to raise your voltage. its sole job is to decrease resistance between the alt and the battery. some car manufactures use smaller than optimal gauge wiring for the charging system. some use adequate gauges.

the added voltage is just a bonus. dont expect it.

Consider that the big 3 isn't for voltage performance, although it does that too. It's a safety consideration because the stock wires aren't meant to handle the load of aftermarket accessories, especially if you have an HO alternator.

oh! that makes a lot of sense lol.. so then it did help.. i guess i thought it was SUPPOSED to give me a voltage increase.. thanks for clearing that up for me guys!

so is there any kinda modification i can make to the alternator to increase the regulation output? or will that basically be a HO alternator? sorry i don't know much about alternators itself.. i'd be glad if someone taught me =D
