Looking to upgrade video card....

Recommended Posts

GTX 670 gets my vote. I'd go for the MSI Power Edition myself. Overclocking is extremely easy on these cards with their Afterburner software and their cooler design is top of the league.

You could get a GTX 680 and still stay within your budget but for the money you're not getting any extra performance once you overclock. Get the 670 and keep the $100 in your pocket or put it toward another upgrade.

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

I have an ATI 6950 and It runs perfectly, everything on full with AA at 8x or more, if you get a 7970 it should be absolutely perfect in everyway shape and form.

I also think any 6 series nVidia would suit just fine, but i would prefer the 7970, from what i read most people say the 7970 does a little better???? not sure if thats right, because i know that the GTX tends to outperform by a few % on the more popular games, but Crysis 1&2 ATI takes the cake, and a few other games. And despite that fact that a 670 can come with a 4gb, compared to the ATI 2 or 3GB, and depending on what your doing 2GB should always be enough. But i mean..............its your money either way i think you would be happy

LOOK WHAT I FOUND! sounds like a deal to me!

i like to go with the X70 cards from Zotac AMP! edition just because they binned my 470 SO WELL.. i can easily and hold a stable 300mhz+ overclock on the CORE.

with water cooling i bet this bitch would be beast.

Go with a 2GB geforce 660ti. Geforce has better driver support over AMD. I know that first hand, I had a gtx 460 and switched to a 2gb 6950 and let me tell you the gtx 460 was much less a pain in the ass.

Maxim a while ago suggested a radeon hd6790, and I have loved it ever since, can play bf3 smooth on very high, crysis 2 on max, csgo, etc smoothly. And it was cheap imo.

You should be happy either way. I would get that 660 TI if you want for 299. but your budget = your choice.

Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol

When Alan uses big words I don't understand

It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room.

I missed Alan.

RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.

Yea I know.... I actually don't think I'll settle for the 660Ti just yet.... with the bandwidth compression it isn't worth it for me to go with that one.... 670 or the ATI bandwagon may happen for me... I'm drawing out what is going to be a slow slow death for that GTX285

Well no matter what you get it should be good. I really like the 6 series but i didnt have enough to get one. The ATI suits me just fine anyway and does all i could ever ask too.

I wouldn't bother with the GTX 680 at all. Not worth it at all unless you feel the need to blow your whole budget and get a card with a non-reference cooler. The performance increase vs a high-end OC'd 670 isn't worth the added $100 unless the money's just burning a hole in your pocket.
