I want to buy a new tool to add to my shop and have a $500 budget to do so.

Right now a 12" Sliding Compound Miter Saw is at the top of my list.

I cant think of anything else, so please post some ideas on what yall would do with this budget. I already have a new table saw and plenty of drills, plenty of routers and sanders as well.

Got them all. I have a basic single bevel 12" miter saw but have always wanted a double bevel sliding miter saw. Im just stuck on that idea and cant come up with anything outside the box that might be useful.

personally i like using pocket holes to assemble my boxes, dunno if it adds to the strength of the box or not but they make a machine for that

Yeah its a pain in the ass but the clamp and drill method does work just fine. Looks like the dewalt might be my choice

get one with a laser if you can.. i looked and didnt see if that one had 1...very handy little feature..we have the same saw lol thing is handy as shit especially when doing anything with angles long as the boards under 13"

This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned
